Aryeh is an Investigations Lawyer and combines an empathetic lens, commitment to neutrality, and pragmatic style when examining allegations of discrimination, harassment, and other misconduct. With a background in litigation, Aryeh is a skilled factfinder and utilizes a discerning and methodical approach to drafting comprehensive reports for clients. A natural problem-solver, Aryeh views a complaint or conflict as an opportunity to unearth systemic issues and facilitate improved workplace relations.
Aryeh brings a range of experience in analyzing complex legal issues in matters pertaining to human rights and equality. In his position at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre, Aryeh represented clients in mediations before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Aryeh acquired further experience in cases dealing with accommodation and accessibility when he worked at the City of Toronto’s Legal Services Division.
Prior to joining Mortimer Khoraych, Aryeh worked as a prosecutor and litigated a variety of quasi-criminal matters in the Ontario Court of Justice. As a prosecutor, he has become adept in conducting detailed interviews, evaluating evidentiary strength, and educating corporations on compliance with legal standards. Aryeh harnesses these skills in his role as an investigator, and through his practice as a prosecutor, he has recognized the importance of identifying key facts, adhering to procedural fairness, and communicating effectively to arriving at positive outcomes.
Aryeh earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. In law school, he participated in an anti-discrimination intensive, competed in the Wilson Equality Moot, and worked with various student-led groups. Aryeh is called to the Ontario Bar.
Aside from his legal ventures, Aryeh enjoys swimming, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
