Harshi Mann (she/her)

Lawyer and Investigator

Harshi Mann’s practice involves conducting workplace and institutional investigations into a wide range of allegations, including harassment, sexual harassment, workplace violence, and discrimination, including micro-aggressions and anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism.

Harshi is committed to upholding the principles of procedural fairness, ensuring the rights of all parties involved in an investigation are respected, and establishing a process that is objective, impartial, and unbiased. She is well-versed in conducting interviews with persons from a diverse array of backgrounds, including those in highly sensitive and difficult situations. Harshi has both prosecuted and defended individuals against criminal offences, which makes her particularly skilled at evaluating the credibility and reliability of evidence with precision.

Harshi leverages her extensive and diverse litigation experience in conducting investigations. That experience includes working as an Assistant Crown Attorney in downtown Toronto, as a criminal defence lawyer, and as a commercial and public law litigator. In these roles, she navigated complex legal landscapes, working on high-profile and precedent-setting cases that demanded exacting attention to detail in the fact-finding process. She has acted as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario and British Columbia, and at the Supreme Court of Canada. She also appeared before the Right Honourable Beverly McLachlin, the former Chief Justice of Canada, in the course of a special investigation into the misuse of public funds.

Harshi is called to the Ontario bar and is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators. She completed her Juris Doctor at Queen’s University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with distinction, from Simon Fraser University.

Outside the office, Harshi enjoys giving back to the legal community. She has judged moot competitions, mentored law students, and given guest lectures at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia Allard School of Law, and her alma mater, Queen’s University Faculty of Law.

In her spare time, Harshi enjoys staying active and has competed at the Canadian National Championships for both soccer and ultimate frisbee. She is fluent in English and Punjabi and speaks conversational Hindi.
