Janina is a human rights lawyer and workplace investigator with more than 15 years of experience in litigation, policy, and training.

In her role as a workplace and institutional investigator, Janina regularly conducts independent, full and thorough investigations into a wide range of complaints and issues. Janina's expertise is in the area of harassment and discrimination related to a protected ground under Human Rights law and workplace policies, such as gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and others.

Prior to joining Mortimer Khoraych, Janina was Review Counsel at a leading national workplace investigation firm. Janina has managed cases and investigations involving race and gender discrimination, gender identity, racial profiling, harassment, sexual violence, disability accommodation, and other labour and employment law issues across private and public sectors.

As senior legal counsel and legal manager at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre, Janina managed a team of lawyers and litigated cases before Ontario's Human Rights Tribunal and Divisional Court. In addition to experience in coaching and training legal professionals, she has worked with the Ontario Human Rights Commission and as an associate at a social justice labour and employment law firm in Toronto.

Janina is called to the Ontario Bar and holds an Integrated B.C.L./ LL.B. from McGill University and a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Toronto.
